Lamar Steiger
Lamar grew up in Wyoming on the JH Ranch until his family moved to NW Arkansas and Lamar began managing the family’s dairy/beef operation. He then served as general manager for JAC's Ranch—the largest Angus seed-stock producer in Arkansas. For the last decade, Lamar has helped lead a dramatic change to the Walmart beef supply by helping to create a supply chain that ensures consistency and quality at an everyday low price. Lamar is an expert in ranch-to-retail beef supplies and profitable ranch management, and continues to consult with major retailers and ranchers on ranch management & profitability.
Shari Steiger
Shari is responsible for the design and details of the 808 infrastructure. Having spent every summer with her maternal grandparents on their farm in SW Missouri and raising her children on JAC’s Ranch, Shari sees the 808 as a continuing legacy for the next generation. The 808 is not just a business, but a place of retreat and recreation for family and friends with river activities, horseback riding, sundowners, and exploring the land. Shari loves spending time with her family, serving at their local church, gardening, horseback riding, and traveling with Lamar.
Carl Steiger
Carl has served as the Asset Manager for The 808 since 2021 when Lamar & Shari talked him out of retirement to help build their vision for the ranch. Through his career, Carl built a reputation for producing in-demand Angus calves. After graduating from Texas A&M, he helped launch JAC’s Ranch with Lamar and personally selected GK Discovery (1982 National Champion) as a calf to be the first herd sire at JAC’s Ranch. He then worked at GK Farms, the industry leader in carcass quality at the time. He then moved on to manage Pearson Land & Cattle for nearly 30 years before retiring.
Chace Jamison
Chace attended Oklahoma State University where he participated in college rodeo and continued to rope in rodeos for years after. In addition to working for his family's ranch, Chace managed a horse property for years before taking a job managing a Wagyu herd for Circle A Ranch. In 2020, Chace joined The 808 as the cowman. He has a quick wit, an abundance of cow sense, and brings unparalleled investment, insight and care for The 808 herd and is genuinely committed to “making everyday a good day for all the every cow, calf and bull."
